Operation — Machine NX-200

HMI Panel Overview

The NX-200 is fitted with a 10" touch panel (HMI). The panel is divided into the following sections:

Tab Function
HOME Machine status, error display, emergency stop
PRODUCTION Speed setting, packaging format, counter
RECIPE Saved product setups
SERVICE Manual operation, temperature settings
REPORT Production data, efficiency figures (OEE)

Daily Start-up

  1. Check that emergency stop is not activated (turn the emergency stop button clockwise if pressed in).
  2. Switch on HMI — press HOME → confirm status shows "READY".
  3. Load product recipe: RECIPE → select product name → LOAD.
  4. Check that film is correctly mounted and tensioned.
  5. Press START (green).

Product Changeover

  1. Stop production (STOP button — not emergency stop).
  2. Clear the production line of product.
  3. Open RECIPE → select new product → LOAD.
  4. Check that film width and type match the new recipe.
  5. Run 5 test packages and check seal quality.
  6. Approve and start full production.

Speed Setting

Machine speed is set in packages per minute (ppm):

  • Recommended at start-up: 40–60 ppm (film warm-up and testing)
  • Rated speed: up to 120 ppm depending on product size
  • Reduce speed for moist products or thin film

Adjust speed via the slider on the PRODUCTION tab — the change takes effect immediately.

Error Codes

Code Cause Action
E01 Film break Stop machine, remount film, clear error on HMI
E02 Temperature out of range Check sealing jaw thermostat — contact technician
E03 Air pressure too low Check pressure gauge and air supply
E10 Emergency stop activated Identify cause, release emergency stop, reset on HMI

Daily Shutdown

  1. Reduce speed to 0 (or press STOP).
  2. Run the machine idle for 2 minutes to clear the film path.
  3. Switch off HMI (HOME → SHUTDOWN).
  4. Disconnect compressed air and power for extended shutdowns or maintenance.
