Key Safety Instructions

Crush hazard

Moving parts of the machine can crush and trap. Keep hands and loose clothing away from conveyor belts and sealing jaws during operation.

Burn hazard

The sealing jaws operate at temperatures up to 200 °C. Do not touch the sealing jaws without heat-resistant gloves (min. 250 °C).

Electric shock hazard

Never open the electrical cabinet without the correct LOTO procedure. 400 V can kill.

LOTO Procedure (Lockout/Tagout)

Follow this procedure before any maintenance:

  1. Stop the machine via HMI (STOP button).
  2. Switch off HMI via HOME → SHUTDOWN.
  3. Turn the main switch to position 0 and apply a padlock to the switch locking mechanism.
  4. Hang a personal LOTO tag on the switch.
  5. Close the compressed air valve and vent the system using the pressure release button (blue, left side panel).
  6. Wait 60 seconds and verify that all pneumatic cylinders have returned to their home position.
  7. Confirm that HMI is off and no indicator lights are illuminated.

Restart after LOTO

Only remove your own lock and tag. Confirm with all personnel involved that the maintenance task is complete before reconnecting power and compressed air.

Emergency Stop

Emergency stop buttons (red mushroom button, yellow ring) are located on:

  • HMI panel (front)
  • Left side of machine (centre)
  • Right side of machine (centre)
  • Film stand (rear)

Activation: Press the emergency stop button — the machine stops immediately. Reset: Remove the cause of the emergency stop → turn the button clockwise → confirm on HMI.
